To allow the restoration for the implant seated in the mouth to be created in a dental laboratory, the position of the artificial tooth root, the adjacent soft tissue and the remaining teeth need to be mapped perfectly. An artificial stump is used to record the position of the artificial tooth root. It is placed into the implant after the removal of the cap covering the opening of the artificial tooth root, followed by taking an imprint of the entire dental arch.
Based on the imprint, a suitable head part is chosen as support structure and adapted to the given scenario in a dental laboratory, followed by the creation of the restoration.
When seating, the head part is scewed into the implant, which is followed by putting the restoration in place and fixing it with adhesive.
